What is Tubo-MTB PSENS? Tubo-MTB PSENS is the first smart bicycle inner tube worldwide. Due to an NFC chip that is integrated in the tube the tire pressure can be measured and shown via an App on a smartphone. Which technology is used for Tubo-MTB PSENS? The pressure sensor installed in PSENS products works without own battery as it can use energy from smartphones. During the measuring the smartphone sets up an electrical field thus providing energy to the pressure sensor. This energy activates the sensor and the tire pressure can be measured and shown on the smartphone. This technology, called Near Field Communication (NFC), is also used in other fields, e. g. mobile payment. How does Tubo-MTB PSENS work? + Start Tubolito App (currently available for iOS, Android version will be available from summer 2021) ✓ Note: iPhones from model 7 and newer do support NFC function + Bring smartphone as close as possible to the NFC chip in the tube ✓ Note: the NFC antenna in iPhones is placed at the upper rear part of the smartphone. Please see picture. + Start the measurement by tapping the SCAN button and keep the smartphone still. + After few seconds of measurement the tire pressure is shown in Bar and PSI + To start a new measurement at the same PSENS, remove the smartphone about 15cm from the chip.
