The Benchmade 537SGY-1 Bailout is a "black class" folding tactical knife equipped with a CPM-M4 steel tanto blade , an aluminum taper and anodized aluminum liners. The Benchmade Bailout is distinguished by its tactical styling, which is highlighted by the distinctive shape of the head and the military color scheme of the aluminum liners. The knife has a combo head with a Japanese tanto profile, made of hard CPM-M4 tool steel. Premium steel CPM-M4 is a high-carbon tool steel hardened to a hardness of 62-64 HRC . It contains a high amount of molybdenum, tungsten and vanadium, making it unrivaled in sharpness retention and wear resistance . CPM-M4 is a carbon steel prone to corrosion, so be sure to properly and regularly maintain the blade. When choosing a knife made of such a hard steel, use a diamond sharpener, which makes the sharpening process easier and faster.
