The handle facings are made of a thermoplastic material called Valox, which is further reinforced with 420J steel liners. The lock used is the well-liked "axis lock", which has been improved by equipping it with an additional spring that assists in quick opening. The mechanism ensures safety during use of the knife, as well as its handling by locking the clip securely. The lock can be operated by both right and left-handed people.
